SOFFA

Transgender_Symbol_Small
SOFFA (Significant Others, Family, Friends and Allies) of Transgender Persons is a support group for those close to someone who is or feels they may be transgender or transsexual.

We meet twice monthly, on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 6.30 – 8.30 at Johnson County Library meeting rooms.  Our aim is to help people handle their feelings, fears, hopes and learn to deal with the changes in their relationships, to help them adjust and to learn how to support their transgendered person.

Please note that in order to encourage open communication about concerns and questions, SOFFA meetings are restricted to non-transpersons.

If you have any questions about SOFFA, please email Fiona at SOFFAKC@yahoo.com.  There is also a SOFFA group on Facebook where you can chat privately or share resources – contact Fiona to be added.
